Kerise and Luke's Wedding

We had a great time and Kerise and Luke's wedding. Jared and Luke work together at Station 6 and they asked Drew to be their ring bearer. It was a great way to kick off the holidays (the wedding was the night before Thanksgiving!) Andrew did a great job and had wonderful time. He has turned into a little photographer. He loves taking pictures and does a pretty good job of it too!!

The Boys

No Broken Bones!!

Jared and Drew took a tumble down the stairs. Jared has a sore back and Drew has a sore leg but looks like it will be a quick recovery for both.

We took Drew to Dr. Amy on Friday but she suggested we wait 24 hours and if it was still bothering him then go for an xray. So this morning when he was still struggling I took him to Dr. Amy's "friends" at Acute Care for Kids. We were in and out within 40 minutes on a Saturday and Drew had a blast! He smiled for his pictures. Ha!

They gave us a copy of his xrays, sent a copy to Dr. Amy and emailed a set to the radiologist to double check that everything is okay.

I would like to hope we don't need emergency care again but since we probably will I am glad to have such a helpful place close by!!

A Great Saturday with Friends

Saturday I took Hayli and Andrew to see Ponyo while Jared and JJ hung out at the house with Maci...Shelbi was working hard at market =( Then we all headed out to the Flower Mound recreation center for some fun in the sun! We finished off the evening with a little spaghetti casserole and Yahtzee. Whew what a day!

Swim Lessons and a Birthday

After two weeks of swim lessons Drew is an underwater swimmer. He dives under water and stands up a few seconds later. Scared us to death for a while but he got so mad when we pulled him up we finally figured out he was playing!! His got the "big arms", blowing bubbles and kicking down. He is a fish...takes after his Dad.

A little bit of luck!

As I was unloading groceries one day, Drew decided that the CD player in Becky's car would be a good place to store pennies! I did not catch on until Becky reported her CD player was not working in the car. It wouldn't even turn on! I was dreading the thought of taking the player out or paying an absorbent amount to have it fixed (it probably would have just stayed broken). Yesterday, Becky reported that the CD player suddenly started making some noise and out popped a disc and three pennies along with it. Looks like we dodged another bullet!

The Greatest Show on Earth

We had a great time at the Circus! Hayli loved the "Flowers" and Drew's favorite part was the elephants. The both did great for sitting through a 2 hour show. Thanks JJ and Shelbi for making it such a fun day!

On another note, watch out because Jared is a blogging Daddy lately...any pic could show up! I am very thankful for him taking charge. I try to blog but often get frustrated because I only have a few minutes to do it and it takes too long to upload photos and it loads them backwards and makes it impossible to rearrange the photos...thats my blogger grip for today!!

Better go "Handy Manny's" over and Drew is ready to play!

This past weekend we celebrated Becky's birthday! Drew really enjoyed opening all of his mommy's birthday cards and blowing out the candles on her cake. He also enjoyed spending time with his "Grandma Wuth".

Sprinkler Fun!

Every Friday this summer is sprinkler day at Love 'N Learn. Drew was not scheduled to be there today, but knowing how much he loves the sprinkler, we went over to share in the fun. At first he would just run through the sprinkler, but soon he realized it was much more fun to chase the girls and try to get them wet. This boy really loves the water!

My first Dentist trip!

On Wednesday, Drew went for his very first dentist appointment. Of course with Drew being 2, Becky and I were prepared for the worst. To our surprise, Drew was amazing and did very well. He even let them take X-rays of his teeth and stayed perfectly still! He was able to pick out a new toothbrush and a toy on his way out. We also found out that he still has two more molars that should come in later this year. Overall, I think Drew really enjoyed his trip to the dentist. Let's hope it's always this easy!

Yesterday was not the greatest day. The camera got into it with the sunscreen and lost and Drew decided the TV screen needed cleaning with carpet cleaner (it didn't). That's going to be an expensive day! I guess that's part of living with a 2 year old boy. We have a backup camera so hopefully we can still provide everyone some pictures. Today is a new day!

Gaylord Texan

Over the July 4th weekend, Glenda, Becky, and Andrew enjoyed a holiday brunch at the Gaylord Texan, overlooking Lake Grapevine. I had to work, so I missed out, but I heard it was really good food.

2009 Hornback Family Reunion

This year's family reunion was again at Lake Whitney! It's great to spend time with family that you don't get to see very often. The lake was smooth and the boating was awesome. Drew really enjoyed the swimming and playing in the sandbox. He even rode the tube but unfortunately we don't have any pics. From wakeboarding to milky way icecream, it was a great time.

Drew got to make a special trip to "Bonkers" to play with his cousins Ashton and Greyson. Crazy but fun!

Big Boy Bed!

Goodbye to the crib! Andrew slept in his new bed last night. I think he really likes it. He already asked to go take a nap! Can you believe Uncle Shane slept in this bed over 20 years ago? Drew went to sleep after asking for a drink of milk and slept until morning. When he woke up he just talked a little until I walked in and then said "Mommy sit." So I sat on the bed and he pushed my head down and said "Mommy night night!"

We can only hope every night will be this easy!! Sorry the pictures are so bad...Jared had the camera in his car at work so I had to use my phone!!
